I had a lot of creative freedom for the Moonlight Madness 5k race series because my wife and I were the race directors! We created the race to be a fundraiser by city employees for the United Way. It became a huge success with more than 1200 runners in the final year. Unique features of the race were glow in the dark long-sleeve tee shirts, custom finishers medals and a custom beer bottle trophy for winners. A new take on the "madness" theme was designed every year. The race was marketed with social media and print advertising, posters and TV/radio.
